Description
Glide Linen Thread is a 40wt polyester thread from Fil-Tec. The thread is made with Advanced Trilobal Technology that allows it to maintain consistent tension throughout each and every spool. The results are high quality, consistent stitch formation, fewer thread breaks, and fewer machine stops. The thread runs virtually lint-free and has a wonderful eye-catching sheen.

Quilted Joy is my new source for Glide thread. Glide is my go to for long arm quilting. I’ve tried many other thread brands but I continue to come back to Glide. Quilted Joy has a great selection of colors and ships fast and packages securely Linen color is a great off white choice and is the color I use most often.
I recently quilted a customer’s hand pieced double wedding ring quilt with shades of green in the rings and an off white or soft beige in background and backing. I had a partial spool of Glide thread in Linen and knew it would be great. I added another spool of Linen to the shades of soft green that I wanted to use on the rings. I quilt on a sit-down, Juki Myabi, and the Glide thread works beautifully in the free-motion and ruler work that I enjoy.
I like that I can use glide thread for stitching, top stitching and embroidery. Excellent thread
Glide was introduced to me when I purchased a new machine to FMQ with. Four years later, this is the only thread I'll use. Both my machine and I depend on wonderful results every time, and Glide has never fallen short. And the sheen is brilliant on any color. I've used Glide for over 10 years as best I can remember. It does the job and does it well. Quilting & embroidery doesn't matter, it works. I don't think you can get better for multipurpose use. The benefit for me is that I have a ton of colors.

Linen Glide is my favorite thread for my long arm. I use a lot of creams and tans and natural colors on the back, and as well as background, so I just love when there is a perfect color that matches all of those, melting in to blend perfectly! I love Glide, and I love Quilted Joy, such a great store, fabulous customer service!!

thread works great on my longarm
I had excellent results with this in the bobbin of my Janome MC9450 QCP with a Janome blue needle.
This is one of my favorite neutral colors.
